"10/10 a good read"

 April 24, 2023

Hello everyone!! Transfers are here! I cannot believe it's already been 6 weeks again! It feels like I was just saying goodbye to Bainbridge! Sister Christopherson and I have had an amazing transfer!

Update on the 21 friends....we made like 7 so not quite 21 but still a good amount to work with!! So excited for all of them!

But as far as this week goes the 2 main things that happened are Symphenie's baptism and Stake Conference!!

On Thursday we went over to our friends house for the baptism interview and that was fun! We had to bring our district leader so he could conduct the interview and it went great! Except for one thing. Symphenie was the only one there. Malachi ghosted us and he didn't want to be a part of it. So we baptized Symphenie!!! It was a wonderful baptism! We had a good turn out and there were so many from the ward to support her! I don't even have any crazy stories! It was just good! And soon enough Malachi's time will come.

So then we had stake conference this weekend! Our visiting authority was Elder Wright of the 70! At the adult session on Saturday night we were greeting everyone as they came in. When Elder Wright walked through the door he shook our hands and we introduced oursleves a little and then right before he left he said "I might be asking for your participation tonight" Sister Christopherson and I look at each other and we're like OK. When he gets up to talk we are shaking in our boots wondering what's going to happen. He says, "now where are those sister missionaries I was talking to earlier?" So we raise our hands and then he asked us to come up and give a 1 minute talk. He asked me to speak on how my view on faith has changed since I was in high school verus now and asked Sister Christopherson to do the same but for repentance. Then we just got up and went for it. Afterward we got a lot of compliments and so I guess we didn't do that bad! It was kinda fun to speak in stake conference for one minute!

The next story was also at stake conference! We had about 6 youth speakers that spoke and the first one that gets up has his long hair and it's in his face and kinda crazy looking, but he bore his testimony on how "knarly and rad" the Book of Mormon is. He also wanted the book to turn into a Rom-Com or a soap opera! Then he brought it back and said that the Book of Mormon brings "like so much comfort dude"! He ended his 7 minute talk by saying that the Book of Mormon is a "10/10 good read" even though it wasn't normal he really has a great testimony of the Book of Mormon.

Another speaker that spoke is Symphenie's 10 year old brother, Brandon. He spoke and he did amazing! We helped his write and practice his talk and he has a really bad stutter when he speaks, but it's okay because he's 10. But when he got up in Stake Conference he didn't stutter over one word and it was SO COOL!! He truly is amazing!

There was an emphasis on covenants this weekend and I just wanted to share a few thoughts. Covenants bind us to the most powerful being! How amazing is that! By making promises with God we are bound to Him and His power! God's love is perfect and the greatest of God's love is given through covenants! God does not give up on those who stray from their covenants! He will never give up on any of us! Covenants are special. I am so greatful that we have the opportunity to make these covenants with Heavenly Father. He loves us and by making and keeping covenants it shows Him that we love Him! These covenants are a blessing!

As far as transfer news! Nothing is changing! Sister Christopherson and I are staying here for another 6 weeks! So yeah that'll be good. But we've had a good transfer so it'll be good to hopefully have another good one:)

I hope all is well wherever you all may be! Keep looking for God's hand in your life! I love you all!!!
