SOUP and SNOW!!

April 4, 2023

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic week!
This week I had zone conference, made soup, saw the Easer Bunny, had General Conference, and saw Sister Elggren!!

Making soup this week was about the greatest adventure I have had in Pioneer Valley so far. Long story short we had a lesson with one of our friends but she cancelled last minute because she had sick kids. We decided to offer her dinner. It was spring break so we couldn't find anyone else to do it so we did dinner. We made chicken noodle soup and it was funny. We were just throwing things in the pot. We put the soup in crock pot that doesn't actually have the lid to it. We put all kinds of frozen veggies and we used bowtie pasta. Not very traditional but it was great soup and we even had leftovers!!

Zone conference was different this transfer because instead of doing a whole day of trainings we split it up into 2 days and on Friday we got to go to the temple! When we went to temple there were about 70 or so missionaries there that day just from our mission. (Sister Elggren was there and I was so happy) We filled the endowment room almost to the brim. The spirit that was there in that room was indescriable. It was so cool to be with so many missionaries in the House of the Lord!

Zone Conference set up General Conference. Everything that we talked about in the mission really got expounded in General Conference. God is aware of His missionaries. He is aware of everyone. I don't know how he does it. He inspires His prophets and apostles on what to say so that they can reach EVERYONE in some way! God loves His children and He gives us everything we need to be succesful. We just have to rely on Him.

This week our mission president asked us to read three things:
-The Living Christ
-Overcome the World and Find Rest from President Nelson
-3 Nephi chapter 11

As I read each of these my testimony of Jesus Christ grew. The power that we get from Christ is incredible. During conference each one of those readings were mentioned and I love President Oaks simple statement, "We believe in Christ." I believe in Christ and I know he lives and that He appeared to the people in the Americas after He was resurrected. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that through Christ we can do all things. And when we end conflict in our lives it gives more room for Christ to come in and give us strength!

I love all of you and I would invite all of you to read those things and increase your testimony and relationship with Jesus Chrsit! Hope you have a great week!!

Ps it snowed yesterday and it was amazing!! I miss the snow sometimes
